University Projects
FORTRAN & Python – 6 Month Project
- Modification of a large FORTRAN program (Sandia Labs CHEMKIN) to allow analysis of chemical kinetics of fluorescence tracers in flames
- Control program written in Python to allow batch processing of input files
- Analysis program written in Python to format and present data in tabular and graphic forms
FORTRAN – 2 Month Project
- Creation of a 2D finite volume method CFD program for compressible fluid flow
- Capable of supersonic and blade-to-blade analysis
C / C++ – 2 Month Projects
- Implemented a panel-vortex method CFD program to do 2D analysis of NACA wing profiles
- Control software for an autonomous robot over an I²C bus
Other Projects
Python with PyGTK
- An air:fuel ratio analyser to process Megasquirt datalog files
- Designed to analyse ~500,000 records, correcting two 16x16 fuelling tables
- Information displayed graphically using the PyGTK extension

Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft (DOS 6.22; Windows 3.1–current) and Linux (8 years; experience mainly in Debian / & Arch Linux) operating systems
- Over 5 years commercial experience of computer sales and repair:
- New builds, hardware and software repairs
- Technical support over the telephone
- Product sales
- Creation of advertising material for use in-shop and in a local newspaper
- Although no longer involved commercially with computers, I have continued to keep up-to-date with the latest developments: upgrading computers, removing viruses, etc., for friends and family
- Experienced in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) and similar alternatives (OpenOffice.org suite)
- Some experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- A small amount of past experience in Macromedia Dreamweaver and Microsoft Visual Studio
